If the merger goes ahead, is it curtains for Hit 40 UK on Sunday afternoons across the One Network?? Heart seem to be local on Sunday afternoons… odd, considering GMG’s Century has ex-Radio 1 jock Gary Davies on a networked show!

@Nico – You shouldn’t be able to receive any UK streams outside of the UK, so you’re on borrowed time anyway.

@John – I can’t see them rebranding the One Netwok as Heart – it would be commercial suicide.

@Will – If they keep the XFM network, I can’t see them rebranding Scotland Galaxy.

You missed the biggest story of all… Most, if not all One Network stations rebranded to Heart. Severn Sound The ‘Heart’ of Gloucestershire, Chiltern Radio The ‘Heart’ of Bedfordshire.

I would bet the house on it by JAN 2009

This may seem shallow, but what I fear (as a listener from overseas) is me losing the ability to stream the GCap stations if Global takes over. I can’t listen to Heart from halfway around the world, but I can to Capital and XFM…
