  1. Four for me:
    1) the CBC’s Finding Cleo.
While I’m not usually into the murder-mystery stories, Finding Cleo was both absolutely gripping and a powerful education into the way indigenous people are treated by settlers in North America. I binge listened because I was desperate to know what would happen next.

    2) BBC’s Forest 404
After listening to Rami Malek’s (fun but slight) Blackout, I went on a bit of a fiction tear and this was the cream of the crop. Full of interesting ideas as well as brilliant storytelling and acting, and I LOVED the educational bonus episodes.

    3) New York Times’ 1619
While I would have liked more episodes, I still learned a TON whilst feeling totally compelled throughout each of the seven eps.

    4) NPR’s Code Switch
I’ve started this relatively recently, but I really like both the hosts and it makes me think about aspects of race and society (eg the dynamics between kids growing up). Delivered in a way that’s engaging and fun.
