I stumbled across a great blog this morning – United Hollywood. It’s been created to promote the reasoning behind the Writer’s Guild of America’s strike. If you didn’t know, the WGA, are campaigning to be paid for non-traditional viewing of their work, ie internet.
It’s clever, and explains things clearly through a sort of celebrity endorsements. They’ve got some great embedded YouTube video of the creators and writers of shows like Lost, Desperate Housewives and The Office on the picket line talking about why they think they should get paid.
It once again shows the power of using simple technology to communicate quite complex ideas to a wide proportion of people.
